Our most academically challenging program is designed for students who are performing at or near grade level in reading and/or mathematics.

As the New York State academic requirements are becoming more rigorous, our teachers and students are working harder than ever to meet these tough standards. As part of the only interdepartmental program in the school, the RCT/Regents students have the privilege of moving from class to class as they change from subject to subject, and bear the responsibility which comes with that relative freedom.

Instruction is provided in groups of twelve students with one master teacher and one assistant.

Each year several academic students are offered the opportunity to participate in a cooperative program with nearby Monroe College. Our students can attend a class at Monroe during the school day, at no personal expense, and earn college credit. Courses are available in computer programming, business, hospitality, foreign language, writing, and more. This program is an enhancement to the high school curriculum, while providing students with a preview of the demands of the college experience.
