Finding the right program for your special-needs child is a challenge. If your child requires a school that will meet his or her needs in a supportive, nurturing environment, consider The Hallen School.

The Hallen School is a private, special education school located in New Rochelle, New York. Established in 1972, Hallen is one of the most comprehensive special education schools in the New York area. Today Hallen serves children, ages five through twenty-one, who exhibit learning disabilities, speech and language impairments, emotional difficulties, autistic features, and mild health impairments.

We provide a structured environment that is secure and consistent, featuring a stimulating educational program within a supportive therapeutic setting. The curriculum content is grade-level for every child and taught at each child's learning level. Classes are carefully created to encourage group instruction and social interaction, in addition to offering individual tutorials and independent work. Specialized programs include: the TEACCH program for students who benefit from a visually structured class; an extensive supportive work program; and an academically rigorous RCT/Regents program.
